Exports plunge by 11.71pc in current fiscal year

Overall trade deficit decreased by 39.62%, amounting to Rs2.371 trillion during July to April

 ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – According to the records issued by the Bureau of Statistics exports decreased by 11.71% in the current fiscal year from July to April.

The report states that the volume of exports from July to April was Rs.2.317 trillion, and also 28.44% decrease in imports was recorded in the same tenure. The total volume of imports from July to April was Rs.4.6888 trillion.

According to the Bureau of Statistics, overall trade deficit decreased by 39.62%, and the trade deficit amounted to Rs2.371 trillion during this period.

The figures further revealed that there has been a decrease of 26.68% in exports during April 2023 as compared to April 2022, the imports also fell by 55.67% in April 2023 against the imports in April 2022.
