The mobile phone imports in Pakistan declined by 71% during Jul-Mar in current fiscal year
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) observed that Mobile phones imports diminished by 71% in the first nine month of the fiscal year 22-23.
According to PBS reports, the total imports of mobile phone from Jul-Mar in the current fiscal year were $463m which is 71% less than the same tenure last year. Mobile phones worth $1.596bn were imported in the first nine months of previous fiscal year.
In the current year $15m were spent on the mobile phone in March which is 91% less than the corresponding month last year. The total worth of mobile phone imports in last year’s March stood at $184m.
On month-to-month basis, the imports declined by 55% in March as compared to February. The imports of Telecom sector dived by 65% cumulatively.
