KSE-100 loses 413 points amid depleting forex reserves
KARACHI (Web Desk) - The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) opened on negative note on the first trading day on Monday as the benchmark KSE-100 lost 413 points, or 1.01 per cent till mid-day.
The index lost 415.56 points to reach 40,583.16 points at 12:5pm.
Market analysts say depelting foreign exchange resrves and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s comments that the government may confiscate dollars from private banks are causing negative sentiments during trading.
On January 6, the stocks closed at 41,007.52 points.
