Mutual funds industrys volume surged and reached Rs 250 billion with 25 percent increase in FY11.

According to Invest Cap Report, major growth witnessed in the money market funds and Islamic income funds category which increased by massive 141 percent and 238 percent to reach at Rs 77 billion and Rs 20 billion respectively.The equity funds category increased by 33 percent mainly on the back of market performance, which surged by 28.5 percent during the year.
