Artificial shortage of urea in Southern Punjab is hitting crops yield.

The farmers are facing difficulties to get the fertilizers and they have to buy it in black market. The fertilizer is being sold at about Rs 2,000 per bag higher than its control price. The shortage of urea can affect crops production.Provincial Minister Ahmad Ali Aulakh said that strict action is being taken against hoarders without any discrimination. He also urged the federal government to provide uninterrupted gas supply to fertilizers companies, so that production could be increased.
