Foreign reserves ease to $18.24b

Pakistan's foreign reserves touched $18.24b for the first time in the countrys history.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, reserves surged by 4.5 percent during the last week of June. During the period, the reserves of the central bank reached $14.78 billion with an increase of $776.5 million. Commercial banks reserves stood at $3.46 billion with a surge of $12.2 million.The reserves showed an increase of $1.5 billion as compared with last year.
