Cotton price down by 22pc in intl market

Cotton price decreased by 22 percent in international market during a week.

Due to decrease in cotton price in international market and fibers in local market, cotton price also decreased by Rs 500 per maund. According to Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association, yarn price has reached Rs 8,300 per maund in local market. While cotton price stands at Rs 3,200 per 40kg in Sindh and Rs 3,400 per 40kg in Punjab.
