FBR, first time in history, collected more tax than the target.

FBR Chairman Salman Sidique says the restoration of IMF programme has become certain after meeting tax collection target. Addressing a press conference, chairman FBR said collection target was fixed at RS 1,588 billion where as the collection remained over Rs 1,590 billion. He made it clear the tax amnesty scheme for defaulters has been over after June 30. People have performed their national duty by paying taxes, and award scheme for them will approved in the next month, he concluded.
