Inflation rate continues to decrease

Federal Bureau of Statistics recorded a further decrease of 15.1 percent in the inflation rate.

In the first week of April, the Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS) has recorded a decrease in the inflation rate.According to a report by the FBS, the reduction in inflation has been less for the poor and more for the rich. For those who earn Rs 3,000 a month, the inflation rate is at 16.24 where as people who earn more than Rs 12,000, the inflation rate is at 14.17 percent. Regarding the essential commodities, prices of 12 items were increased whereas prices of 17 items decreased. During the same period, a 2.5 percent increase was recorded in the price of cement.
