Raging inflation adds to long list of woes

Inflation is fast becoming one of the most potentially explosive problems for the unpopular government. Inflation for the current week recorded at 16.3 percent.

According to Federal Bureau of Statistics, inflation rate was increased by 2.2 percent. According to the report, tomato price witnessed record high this year as compared the same period of last year. Tomato price was increased by 144 percent this year. Moong pulse increased by 65 percent, red chili 60 percent, ghee 45 percent and garlic price increased by 40 percent as compared to last year.
