After an increase in the price of cotton in international market, the price of the cotton also witnessed hike in Pakistan. Cotton price reached 9500 rupees per maund. Cotton price is also being increased due to hike in its Chinese demand. On the other hand, US has only 19 lakh bales of cotton which is 14-year lowest. Sanghar District in Pakistan has produced record cotton. The area has produced 43 percent of total production of Sindh.
