Poultry products, powder milk likely to get costlier from July
It is likely that the government ends duty taxes on agricultural machinery
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prices of powder milk, beans and imported poultry products are likely to go up starting from July while those of sea food, agricultural machinery and solar-fired instruments may decrease, reported Monday.
The development has come in after government decided to revise taxes on different items in the forthcoming budget for financial year 2016-17.
Imported powder milk will see imposition of 50 percent duty tax while beans will have five percent sales tax. The government is mulling imposition of 15 percent duty tax on import of poultry-related products while ten percent on chicks and eggs-to-hatch.
The government is recommended by authorities concerned to not pocket taxes on breeding and feed of fish and prawns.
It is likely that the government ends duty taxes on solar-powered water purification instruments and agricultural machinery.
