Hong Kong, Shanghai stocks open lower

HONG KONG (AFP) - Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks slipped in early trade Thursday following a strong two-day rally and after China released data showing inflation in the country came in at two percent for August.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index fell 2.36 percent, or 522.04 points, to 21,609.27.
In Shanghai the composite index slipped 1.66 percent, or 52.54 points to 3,190.55.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China s second exchange, lost 1.60 percent, or 28.81 points, to 1,770.03.
