Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index was marginally higher, adding 9.15 points to 20,592.67

HONG KONG (AFP) - Shanghai stocks ended the morning session 1.38 percent lower Tuesday after official data showed another fall in exports and imports in August.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 42.37 points to 3,038.05, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China s second exchange, lost 0.90 percent, or 15.16 points, to 1,662.17.

However, Hong Kong s Hang Seng Index was marginally higher, adding 9.15 points to 20,592.67.
