China shares lower in morning trade

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 16.12 points to 3,120.41.
SHANGHAI (AFP) - Chinese shares were lower in morning trade Friday despite an earlier announcement of monetary easing through a cut in bank reserve requirements, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.51 percent, or 16.12 points, to 3,120.41.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China s second exchange, slipped 0.10 percent, or 1.53 points, to 1,524.58.
