China shares lower in morning trade

SHANGHAI (AFP) - Chinese shares were down in morning trade Friday as Asian markets fell due to tensions after a Malaysia Airlines plane crashed in Ukraine, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slid 0.36 percent, or 7.41 points, to 2,048.18.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China s second exchange, fell 0.25 percent, or 2.78 points, to 1,096.27.
