Utility stores raise sugar price by Rs 6/kg
Utility Stores have raised price of sugar by Rs 6 per kilogram in Karachi on Monday.
According to new rate, the sugar is being put on for sale at Rs 48 per kg.
Sources said that at the advent of the month of Muharram, there is an increase in price of sugar at Utility Stores. The wholesale price of sugar has reached Rs 52 per kilogram, while the open market price of sugar is now Rs 55 per kilogram.
Sources further said that in the month of Muharram, there is a rise in the consumption of sugar, exploiting which the profiteers increase the prices.
