Pak-Saudi trade relations reviewed

Pakistani ambassador Naeem Khan met Minister of Trade Arabia Industries Dr Tawfig on Friday.

Both of them discussed ways forward to further deepen bilateral economic and trade ties.During the meeting both sides agreed to hold next round of the Joint Meeting of the Committee of Ministers in Islamabad in September this year.On this occasion, it was agreed that a meeting of the Joint Business Council (JBC) would be held on the sidelines of the Joint Military Commission in Islamabad.During the meeting, it was also agreed on early conclusion of Pakistan and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council Free Trade Agreement (FTA) which will give a strong impetus to economic and trade relations with Pakistan to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
