A Russian billionaire has paid $100 million -- the highest price ever paid for a home in the US.

The buyer, 49-year-old Yuri Milner, currently lives in Moscow with his wife and two children. The 25,500-square-foot Los Altos, California home has five bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a ballroom, home theater, tennis court, indoor and outdoor pools.Architect William Hablinski told the Wall Street Journal the house was constructed over an eight year period from 2001 to 2009.Milner is the CEO of Digital Sky Technologies and has investments in Facebook Inc., Groupon Inc. and Zynga Inc.
