TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Turkmenistan has denied an Iranian aircraft permission to enter its airspace, forcing the flight to return to Tehran, according to Iranian authorities.
Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization said the aircraft was diverted back to Tehran and landed at Imam Khomeini International Airport.
Majid Akhavan, a spokesperson for Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, confirmed the incident.
Meanwhile, Iranian media reported that all flights operated by Iranian airlines to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have also been cancelled.

Iranian officials said the UAE had not yet formally notified Tehran about the suspension of flights.
According to the spokesperson for Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, Iranian flight schedules have also been removed from departure boards at airports in the UAE.
The developments come amid disruptions affecting Iranian air travel, although authorities have not publicly provided further details on the reasons behind the restrictions.
