DOHA (Dunya News) - Qatar is continuing diplomatic efforts to facilitate the resumption of negotiations between the United States and Iran, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed Al Ansari said.
Al Ansari said Qatari officials were maintaining daily telephone contacts with various parties involved in the crisis and were also in direct communication with Iran as part of efforts to revive negotiations.
He said authorities were considering various proposals and mechanisms aimed at bringing the parties back to the negotiating table.
Qatar was also stressing the importance of the full participation of all sides in the mediation process being led by Qatar and Pakistan, he added.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson said negotiations remained the only way out of the crisis, stressing the need for diplomatic engagement to resolve outstanding differences.
He said Qatar’s immediate priority was to restore normal maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global shipping route.
According to Al Ansari, Qatar was supporting efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions, securing a ceasefire and facilitating the resumption of negotiations between the United States and Iran.
He reiterated Doha’s commitment to diplomatic efforts and said continued communication with the parties was aimed at creating conditions conducive to a return to dialogue and a peaceful resolution of the crisis.
