TEL AVIV (Web Desk) - The Israeli government has expressed concern over the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement signed by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye, describing the trilateral defence cooperation as a worrying development for Israel.
Israel’s minister for diaspora affairs called the agreement a “dangerous” development, noting that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia already have a defence agreement and that Turkiye has now joined the expanded security cooperation.
The Israeli minister said Turkiye has direct disagreements with Israel, adding that the growing defence cooperation among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye could have serious implications for Israel.
He further warned that the strengthening of military ties among the three countries could also affect the broader security situation in the region.
