Summary In a statement, Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack represented a dangerous escalation in the strategically important Red Sea
DOHA (Dunya News) - Qatar has strongly condemned a Houthi attack on a Saudi vessel in the Red Sea, describing it as a serious violation of international maritime law and warning that such attacks pose a threat to global energy security and regional stability.
In a statement, Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack represented a dangerous escalation in the strategically important Red Sea, a vital shipping route for international trade and energy supplies.
It said repeated Houthi attacks were undermining peace and stability in the region and increasing tensions.
The ministry stressed that attacks targeting maritime navigation threaten the security of international shipping and called for the effective implementation of relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions to deter further violations.
It warned that continued hostile actions risk exacerbating instability across the region.
