President Pezeshkian hails US-Iran peace accord as historic agreement

TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has welcomed the agreement reached to end the war with the United States, describing it as a historic accord.

In a statement posted on social media, Pezeshkian said the agreement was a historic document and a message from a strong Iran that peace would be achieved under the framework of mutual respect.

The Iranian president also shared an image of the agreement bearing the signatures of himself, US President Donald Trump, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who acted as a mediator in the negotiations.

It is noteworthy that President Trump and President Pezeshkian have signed the agreement, while Prime Minister Sharif's signature also appears on the document in his capacity as mediator.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the accord would serve as a foundation for peace and stability in the region.
