Expressing concern over the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, the Qatari spokesperson said that no country has the right to block access to the strategic waterway.

According to him, maritime traffic has not yet been fully restored, and so far only two LNG tankers have managed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

Majed Al Ansari further stated that communication with US President Donald Trump would continue and that diplomatic discussions had remained positive.

Qatar claimed that Trump postponed an attack on Iran at the request of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

He also said that the recent attacks have put the positive relations between Qatar and Iran at risk.
