Summary Iran warns Israel over Lebanon ceasefire violations, citing drone incursions and tensions, while leaders question viability of ongoing negotiations.
TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has warned that Iran remains ready to respond, saying “our fingers are still on the trigger” and vowing that Tehran will not abandon the people of Lebanon.
In a statement, he said Israel’s actions in Lebanon constitute a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement, adding that continued aggression would render negotiations meaningless and signal a lack of seriousness toward potential agreements.
Separately, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said that ceasefire proposals include Lebanon and the broader resistance axis, warning that violations would carry a heavy price and provoke a strong response. He stated that three key points of a 10-point proposal had already been violated, including alleged drone incursions into Iranian airspace, denial of Iran’s right to uranium enrichment, and breaches of the ceasefire in Lebanon.
