After this very long past cricket season, it is very hard to remember the successes of the South African cricket team. Graeme Smith was rightfully named Cricketer of the Year as well as Castle Test Player of the year for his feats, especially in Australia at the end of 2008, beginning 2009. Who can forget his memorable innings at Sydney in January when he walked out with an arm and hand damaged. Never was I more proud of South Africas test team, even though they eventually lost that particular test, they won the series and all the accolades as well. AB de Villiers won the One Day Test Player of the Year, but he could easily have won everything else as well. A great season by AB he also won Supersport Fans Player of the Year.
