Indian troops martyr one youth in occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR (Web Desk) -  In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one Kashmiri youth in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district.

The troops killed the youth identified as Bilal Ahmed Butt during a cordon and search operation at Ranipora in Achabal area of the district, late last night.

Earlier, an Indian policeman was injured when unidentified persons attacked a police picket in the area.

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities have suspended train service in south Kashmir. 

In August, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism had martyred 34 Kashmiris including a woman. According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, two of those martyred were killed in a fake counter.

The killings in the month rendered two women widowed and six children orphaned.

During the month, 483 people were critically injured due to the use of brute force including firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells by the Indian troops, paramilitary and police personnel on peaceful protesters in the occupied territory.

As many as 196 Hurriyet leaders, activists and youth were arrested during house raids and crackdown operations. The troops also destroyed and damaged 140 houses and disgraced /molested five (5) women during cordon and search operations in the month.
