(Web Desk) – British childhood sweethearts, one of whom is terminally ill at 87 years of age was moved alongside her 90-year-old husband by hospital administration so that they could spend their last days together.
Telegraph reported on Tuesday that Royal Bolton Hospital moved Beatrice Whitehead, suffering of bone cancer, and husband Burt together.
The two are childhood sweethearts who married some 67 years ago and have three children, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Their son-in-law told the British media outlet that the staff in the two wards brought them into one and they now lie side-by-side. “They have given Beatrice hours or days. He has perked up a bit since he came to her side,” he added.
Daughter of the couple held hospital’s concern and the action “wonderful” adding: “It’s right the two of them should be together – she only has a few more days to live.”
Spokesperson for the hospital said that the administration takes every step possible to support patients and their relatives as they approach end of their lives.
