FRANKFURT (Daily Dunya) - A US airbase in Germany went into a state of panic and hysteria after receiving a false missile attack warning.

The test message was meant to be sent to only one person, but was instead sent to all wing personnel at NATO s Spangdahlem Air Base, 100 miles west of Frankfurt.

The warning was labeled  high severity  and read:  MISSILE INBOUND. SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY!

One of the command post controllers was building a template for this specific thing that was posted....And he inadvertently sent it to everybody,  Major Bryon McGarry said as reported by Daily Mail.

However; calm was restored in the airbase after eight minutes when a blue message recalled the missile warning and cleared up the matter.

It read:  A missile warning message was sent out inadvertently. PLEASE DISREGARD AND RESUME NORMAL OPERATIONS.
