SRINAGAR (Dunya News) - In occupied Kashmir, undeclared curfew and other restrictions marked by shutdown continued to paralyze normal life on the 81st consecutive day, Tuesday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces have taken control of numerous schools in Srinagar where more than 11000 soldiers are positioned.

All educational institutions, main markets and other businesses remained closed while traffic is off the road.

The valley is witnessing anti-India protest rallies on daily basis since July 8, the day when Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani was killed in a fake encounter.

Protests and rallies were carried out in Kalgam and were attended by a large number of people.

Hurriyet leader Syed Ali Gilani has said that Kashmiri people are subject to Indian atrocities and are in an essential need of peace.

The death toll in the violence-hit valley has reached 115 with more than 11,000 injured.
