NEW YORK (Web Desk) – Indian media has highly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Vietnam visit before the G20 conference.
People on social media condemned Modi’s financial aid worth $500 million to Vietnam in such a time when India itself is reeling from the flood crisis and majority of the people are not able to have a proper meal.
Apart from Indian defense analyst, economic experts and other people belonging to various occupations have questioned that whom does Modi wants to impress through such hugesome financial aids?
One of the section in the society is of the view that Modi’s visit to Vietnam, the financial aid and 12 defense pacts indicates that India is not sincere in developing relations with China.
Both Vietnam and China are in a conflict on marine and defense matters due to which Modi’s visit to China will now be under threat due to his alignment towards Vietnam.
On the other hand, defense analysts have declared Modi’s Vietnam visit as diplomatic failure.
On a telephonic conversation with Roznama Dunya North America correspondent Nadeem Salahri, prominent scholar Anand Sharma said that India should have improved his relations first with the neighbouring countries but Modi is putting the country’s future and all diplomatic rules at stake only to please United States.
He said that due to Modi’s recent moves, China will be a bit furious and will be more supportive towards Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the statement of Chinese ambassador in Washington has once again clarified China’s policy towards Pakistan as he has termed Pakistan its everlasting friend.
In the present situation, China’s statement is troublesome for Indian diplomats and foreign experts.
