Summary All of the last nine months have been warmer than the average temperatures in the respective months

LAHORE: (Web Desk) – January was straight ninth month with record-breaking warm temperature worldwide. It has been nine months that the temperatures have remained higher than their previous records and shockingly January was the most abnormally warm month, with a difference of 1.13 degrees Celsius compared with the average temperature, reported Dunya News.

It is pertinent to mention here that the all the last four months have been over 1 degree Celsius higher than their average which is considered extremely abnormal. Moreover, this January saw a warmer departure ever from the average temperatures in January with a difference of 1.13 degrees Celsius.

Global leaders had agreed in Paris that they wouldn’t let the global temperatures rise by 2 degrees, and 1.5 degrees if possible but the temperatures are constantly soaring.

Besides, the last year (2015) has already been declared the warmest month in the history by a good margin.

United States’ (US) National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) says that this was the second warmest month on land but by far the warmest one in oceans. The warmth was the most alarming in the Arctic where the temperatures rose by around 4 to 13 degrees Fahrenheit according to NASA. This has led to a reduction in the ice in the Arctic Ocean with a reduction of over 400,000 square miles.
