LAHORE (Web Desk) – A man was arrested on Thursday for hurling a shoe at Indian Chief Minister (CM) of Bihar, Nitesh Kumar. Kumar narrowly escaped the shoe onslaught.
The attack occurred during an event when Kumar announced a ban on alcohol in Bihar. Participants at the meeting severely protested against the prohibition and chanted slogans against the ban after it was announced.
It was at this time that a man threw a shoe at the Indian CM. Police moved in quickly to apprehend the culprit.
The ban will take effect from April in entire Bihar state. The decision is being criticized severely by some constituencies however.
