Summary BJP published the cow ad just one day before the final phase of election

NEW DELHI (Dunya News) – India’s extremist party Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) once again showcased their narrative in an odd way as they published an ad against Bihar Chief Minister (CM) Nitish Kumar on Thursday. The ad in which a woman is hugging a cow, asks Nitish Kumar, why did he keep silent when his allies gave ‘careless’ statements about cow and beef issue.

BJP, already known as an extremist Hindu political party has been in the news from the very first day of Narendra Modi’s taking office at the Prime Minister secretariat. Modi, who has been trying his best to appear fashionable among the other leaders of the world, does not appear to care much about the damage being done to the image of the secular state of India.

In the past few weeks, there had been many incidents of killing, lynching and beating over beef eating. The incidents include even murders of some Muslims who were rumored of eating beef. Now, as the assembly elections are around the corner, the negative campaign by BJP was seen as a bad move. The opposition alliance said that BJP should not use religious issues in their campaign.

After the complaint from anti-BJP alliance, the Indian election commission has stopped all political parties from publishing any political ads before clearing the controversial advertisement. Lalu Parsad Yadav, who had been the CM of Bihar and belongs to the lower caste, Dalit, said that Hindus also eat beef in India and outside the country they all eat it anyways, what difference does it make? Yadav’s statement came after a Muslim man was lynched to death by the mob on rumors of beef eating.

Bihar election is in the final and fifth phase now. In the four phases, the contest had been close. The voting for the 5th phase will be held in 57 constituencies of Bihar.
