India: Women development plans seek govt attention

KOZHIKODE (Web Desk) – Indian government has failed to initiate development plans for the women in the area of Kozhikode. The plans faced difficulties due to lack of proper planning and negligence of the government.

The authoritative body was unable to resume the construction of hostels for women at Mankkavu as the request for approving the tender is still pending. The short home stay for women at Bilathikulam has also faced delay due to the same reasons.

Jeevanam project that was planned to detect cancer at early age in women is another example of government negligence as the cooperation didn’t get funds to initiate their third phase.

Moreover, corporations have urged the government to pay their due attention in the smooth execution of these plans.
