India: 4 sisters who came to lodge FIR beaten up by Police

Summary Police have recorded the statement of the victim but no FIR has been filed so far.

KALYAN (Web Desk) – Four sisters who came to the police station to lodge an FIR against their neighbor beaten up by the police. The sisters alleged police officers of harassing them by tearing off the clothes of one of them.

The four sisters took loan of Rs 20,000 from their neighbor and did not manage to return, as a result of which, both parties lodged FIR against one another, however, later the neighbor picked up a fight due to which the sisters went to police station.

One out of four sisters accused police officer of harassing her by tearing her clothes and taking photographs. The police officer had also threatened her for involving her in a false crime.

Further, on the protest of sister, deputy commissioner of police Sanjay Jadhav ordered Kalyan assistant commissioner of police to investigate the matter. The police have recorded the statement of the victim but no FIR has been filed so far.
