NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – BJP councillor from Janakpuri, Ashish Sood, was observed to threaten the was observed to threaten the inspector with South Corporation s West Zone remunerative projects cell (RP cell) circulated when an audio clip came forward in which Sood threatens to harm him for removing a unipole used for outdoor advertising.
According to details, Sood, a BJP leader continuously threatened to beat up the inspector and fling him out of the office if he even try to touch his unipole. Meanwhile, inspector recorded the audio clip and presented to the higher authorities.
Sood put forward his apology and didn’t deny that the voice is his. "I m sorry for abusing but the official is at fault."
He further added that I have not done any corruption but tried to tell him to take some uniform and practical action. He said "I said officials should take uniform action and not target just one. South Corporation has already charged Rs 1.5 lakh for this unipole and suddenly these officials have realized that its existence isn t legal. Senior officials have told me that if the corporation has signed a contract and charged money for a unipole, it cannot be removed. In fact, the official was being corrupt."
Inspector Gupta said that he has not made any formal complaint against him regarding this misbehaves.
Subhash Arya, leader of the House, said that BJP is supporting Sood as he has done a shameful act against the inspector.
But corporation officials said the recording proves they are not allowed to work.
Councillors accuse us of not working but the truth is that when we go out to take action, they threaten us, said a senior South Corporation official.
