Video released showing deadly attack in Afghanistan

A German newspaper released a video on Thursday showing an air strike in Afghanistan which is believed to have killed dozens of civilians. The strike, ordered by a German commander and carried out by a US F-15 fighter, was the most deadly operations involving German troops since World War Two, killing 69 Taliban fighters and 30 civilians, according to the Afghan government. Earlier, the head of the German armed forces Wolfgang Schneiderhan resigned over reports the military withheld information about the September 4th air strike. In the days after the strike, Franz Josef Jung, who was defence minister at the time and now serves as labour minister in Chancellor Angela Merkel's new centre-right government, denied there were any civilian victims.
