Infiltration on LoC surges: Indian Army chief

Indian Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor said that cross border infiltration into Jammu and Kashmir has been registering an upward trend. Talking to Indian media in New Delhi, he said that he could not tell the exact figures but the incidents of infiltration on Line of Control (LoC) had surged during last few months, adding that India would have to retaliate at some stage if the process continued. Answering a question Kapoor vowed that India would strongly respond to any violation of ceasefire from Pakistan.
