Summary A tornado hit two villages in India's state of Tripura, leaving hundreds injured and homeless.
Locals woke up to a horrifying morning on Monday after a massive tornado shredded two villages in Bishalgarh of Indias northeastern state of Tripura. As per latest information one person has died while over a 100 villagers have sustained injuries due to the catastrophe that occurred in Chandranagar and Shepahijala areas.At least 300 houses have been ripped apart by strong winds or got damaged due to falling of trees over them rendering hundreds homeless.Survivors were seen rushing towards government hospitals and inspecting wreckage of the calamity several minutes after the cyclonic storm ended.Scores of injured victims were seen queuing outside nursing stations awaiting medical aid and being assisted by their relatives.
