Summary Man charged with burgling called the owner and offered to solve case after the owner offered reward.
Police have since charged 28-year-old Emile Pratt Jr with burgling Mark Multaris Gold Mind Jewellers in Sharon, about 60 miles north-west of Pittsburgh.Mr Multari told a local newspaper that he announced a reward a day after the August 31 burglary and that Pratt called claiming to have heard glass breaking when the alarm sounded, and said “he would help in any way” to catch the thief.Police charged Pratt after tracing some of the 100 items stolen in the burglary to stores and pawn shops where Pratt allegedly sold them.
