‘Visa temples’ surge in India

NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – India is witnessing a rise in ‘visa temples’ people could be seen heading to for helping them secure higher study spot or employment abroad.

There is a temple of the kind in Chennai named Sri Laksmi Wesa Ganpati hoisting Ganesh Devta that is visited by large swathes of people who pray and perform other rituals in order to obtain visas for the UK, the USA, and European countries.

Temples of the kind exist in various other cities too that host Hanuman sculpture – a Hindu god believed to be helping in securing visas. America temple and UK temple are also increasing.

The leader of the Chennai temple said the temple had been popular since 2016.
