Indian police place statue of dog as tribute for helping to solve 49 cases

Tinky was an eight-year-old German Shepherd who died of illness last year.

MUZAFFARNAGAR (Dunya News) – Muzaffarnagar police have placed a statue of ASP Tinky of Dog Squad, who died last year, to pay tribute to her for solving 49 cases.

All senior officials, including SP City Arjit Vijayvargiya, SP Rural Atul Kumar, Circle Officer Kuldeep Singh attended the event.



Tinky’s handler Mahesh Kumar said, "What better tribute to the police force than a worker doing extraordinary work. With the installation of the statue, my best companion so far became immortal. I will soon go to the Additional SP and express my respect", he said.

It is to be mentioned here that Tinky was an eight-year-old German Shepherd who died of illness last year.
