Silver-painted beggars show up on roads in Indonesia
JAKARTA (Dunya News) – Manusia Silver or “Silver Men” are special type of beggars that are showing up on the roads of Jakarta these days.
Beggars simply spray-paint themselves with the metallic pigment like street performers, grab a cardboard box and walk among cars on busy roads, hoping that someone spares some change.
According to Indonesian media, police have been cracking down on Manusia Silver, arresting and fining them to discourage them from irritating people for money.
