China's Ding Wuling is mosquito free village
BEIJING (Web Desk) –Chinese village Ding Wuling that is surrounded by greenery is allegedly mosquito-free for almost a century.
Located in the hills of China’s Fujian province, 700 meters above sea level, the village of Ding Wuling is home to the hakka minority, a people with a very rich history and culture evidenced by the unique architecture of their stone houses.
Some people living in Ding Wuling believe that a toad-shaped stone is keeping the mosquitoes at bay. Some of the residents also worship it and call it a “god toad”.
