Family elders say children face discrimination at school because of their unusual condition.
A family in India s central Betul district suffers from a congenital condition of "polydactyly" which makes it difficult for them to lead a normal life.
The genetic anomaly runs in the blood of the family where, reportedly, all 25 members have six fingers in their each hand and seven-eight fingers in each of their foot.
The condition has been causing discomfort to the family for generations. Family elders say children face discrimination at school because of their unusual condition.
According to a research paper by U.S.-based National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) polydactyly is rare genetic condition which can occur as an isolated condition in a single individual or can occur as a feature of a congenital condition.
