Woman finds skinned mysterious carcass in backyard
It measures about two to three feet long as Kelly compared its size with several objects including an air freshener can.
TITUSVILLE (Web Desk) – Kelly Garrahan, a resident of Titusville, Facebooked a picture of mysterious skinned carcass she found in her background to spark an online theory thread.
Kelly posted the picture of the creature on Facebook asking for people help. "I found this in my yard. Has anyone seen this thing before or know what it could be?"
The animal appeared to be dried out, was seen lying on the ground with its four limbs stretched out as msn reported.
It measures about two to three feet long as Kelly compared its size with several objects including an air freshener can.
It has a long snout, which some web users suggested that it could be an alligator or even a monitor lizard.
But Kelly quickly refuted that as she claimed the creature has ears.
Some quick-witted user spotted there was whiskers on its face and believed that it could not be a reptile.
She was later contacted by a person who claimed to have sent the pictures to a biologist for identification and was told that the carcass was from an opossum.
Her post has drawn over a hundred comments as they took a guess on the mysterious creature.
Some of them even put in a bit of imagination as they suggested it was a ‘rotten banana peel’ or a ‘chupacabra’ - a blood-sucking monster.
Kalee Rachael wrote: "It really does look like a chupacabra!"
Tamm Brown believed that it’s monitor lizard as ‘the tail and feet confirm that’.
Stephen Wright joked saying it’s an alien.
