The woman, 29 went to an ophthalmologist because of intense pain and discomfort in her left eye, which also had swollen up.
According to media reports, the doctor on examination of the eye found four sweat bees inside her eye, which were alive and feeding off the moisture from her tear ducts.

The doctor was glad that the patient wore contacts otherwise had she rubbed her eye, the tiny bees would’ve turned her blind through releasing their venom.
The doctor revealed that this was the first incident of sweat bees in Taiwan.
