BOLIVIA (Dunya News) – Hundreds of people carried skulls of their loved ones adorned with flowers to a cemetery in La Paz to pray for health, money and other favors.

Arriving at the venue, the participants played music, danced and lit the candles. "We have to bring them joy. It’s their birthday and they must have a good time," devotee Zapana said of the skulls.

The Catholic Church considers the festival to be pagan, but it doesn t ban people from taking part.
